About the Africa Industrial Hemp Forum/Festival

The Africa Industrial Hemp Forum is a pioneering international platform dedicated to showcasing the transformative potential of industrial hemp for sustainable development and wealth creation across the African continent.
We believe that industrial hemp can play a crucial role in:

  • Driving economic growth: Creating jobs and fostering entrepreneurship, particularly for youth and women.
  • Mitigating climate change: Promoting sustainable and eco-friendly industries and practices.
  • Improving livelihoods: Empowering local communities and promoting sustainable agriculture.

The Forum brings together policymakers, farmers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to:

  • Share knowledge and best practices.
  • Explore innovative applications of industrial hemp.
  • Foster collaboration and partnerships.
  • Shape policy, drive investment and sustainable growth within the African hemp industry in order to fully take advantage of the Africa Free Trade Continental Agreement.

Panels of discussions on topics including policy making, trade and investment, climate economy, processing and product development will be held.

This maiden version of the forum will be hosted in Nigeria, where industrial hemp is still illegal. Therefore, it will be executed in the form of an Agro-Art and Tech Festival at Africa’s first digital museum. Immersive and experiential technologies like VR and Augmented Reality will be used to digitally showcase the goodness of industrial hemp, from farm to products, thereby inspiring sustainable living and innovative thinking.

Our Vision: To position Africa as a leader in the global hemp industry, driving sustainable development and economic prosperity across the continent.

Our Mission: To educate, inspire, and connect stakeholders within the African hemp ecosystem, fostering a thriving and sustainable industry.

Join us on this exciting journey as we unlock the immense potential of industrial hemp for Africa.
